Client Consented Transcription
Secure, encrypted, and consent-based
Allia Transcription is fully integrated into Allia Telehealth to support your documentation. It’s optional and requires client consent. Learn more below.
If enabled, transcription automatically generates a draft progress note right after the session—no extra steps needed. It also powers Allia’s automated treatment planning and insights, which you can explore and customize after the session.
These tools are designed to support personalized care and reduce time spent on admin.
Consent
Before each session, your client will be asked if they consent to transcription to support more focused care:
If they consent: The session begins as usual, and you’ll receive an auto-generated draft progress note afterward.
If they don’t consent: The session still runs normally, but no transcription or automated documentation will be available. Treatment planning and insights also require at least one transcribed session.
Transcription cannot be turned off mid-session. If your client changes their mind during the session, simply end the call and restart it using Instant Meeting with transcription disabled.
Privacy
Transcripts are end-to-end encrypted—both in transit and at rest.
Only you can access session transcripts and notes. Not Allia. Not anyone else.
Sessions are not recorded—they’re transcribed in real-time solely to support documentation.
Allia Telehealth meets the highest standards of HIPAA compliance.
